Community Concern Provides quality programs for young people to promote Christian values, to build healthy families and strong relationships and to provide safe environments.
I have been involved with after-school programing since 1996. I directed the after-school program for children and teens in Vickery Meadow at the Vickery Wellness Center sponsored by Buckner International and now am the coordinator at the Birchwood Community Center in East Dallas.
I have invested in the lives of hundreds of children, offering a structured and safe environment for students to grow academically as well as physically and spiritually. The key to success has been providing fun, team-building activities that motivate children to attend the program every day. This high attendance also enables children to receive the academic support that they need. Many of the alumni from the after school program have graduated from high school, obtained scholarships, and now attend or have graduated college.
